Temporary Food Stalls
If you wish to have a temporary food stall or vehicle at a single event like a show, the local Kalamunda Village and Farmers markets, fundraising or community event you need approval by the Shire’s Health Service. Please complete and return the application form at least two weeks prior to the event.

If your stall is located on a property which is privately owned you need approval from the land owner. Market stall holders need to contact the market co-ordinators for more information on operating a stall.

Preparing food at home?
If you prepare the food at home then you need to be registered with your Local Government. If the food is prepared in the Shire of Kalamunda please complete and return a Food Premise Registration Form. The Residential Food Preparation Guidelines can provide more information on the requirements of preparing food at home.
Environmental Health Officer’s conduct regular inspections of the markets to ensure that all stalls are approved and food is handled safely, protected from contamination and labelled according to the Food Standards Code – Guide to Food Labelling.
