Free Youth Drop In Program

Forrestfield Youth Initiative

Time: 3.30pm - 5.30pm, Thursday’s during school term
Venue:
Hartfield Park Recreation Centre, 199 Hale Road, Forrestfield

Forrestfield Youth Initiative (or FYI for short) is a free drop in activity session for young people aged 9 – 15 featuring social sports, a chill out zone, craft activities and healthy snacks.

During each session participants spend an hour playing a sport of their choice before being invited to take a break and enjoy some free healthy snacks. After this participants can either continue playing sports or hang out in our chill out zone that is stocked with crafts, board games and pool tables. Sports vary week to week depending on the participant’s interests but some of the most popular activities so far include basketball, badminton, racquetball, indoor soccer, dodge ball and designing their own obstacle course.

Additionally each term we invite at least one community group or youth organisation to host a fun, interactive and educational workshop for our FYI participants. These can vary from craft activities to guitar lessons and gives the participants an opportunity to learn a variety of new skills whilst having fun.

Participants are welcome to come to part, or all, of the 2 hour session.

Please feel free to download the FYI flyer or information booklet
