A SMARTER WAY TO PAY : A no fuss way to pay rates over a 12 month period via direct debit, on a weekly, fortnightly.

Residents who struggle to manage their household budget when their rates bill comes in can breathe a little easier by adopting a Smarter Way to Pay. A Smarter Way to Pay has been introduced by the Shire of Kalamunda as a no fuss way to pay rates over a 12 month period via direct debit, on a weekly, fortnightly basis from April to March of each year. The rates Department will determine an amount that would be required to ensure that your rates are paid by the last instalment date which is usually in February, and the amount will then continue to be deducted for next lot of rates.

There is a $20 set up cost for ratepayers who adopt the payment method. Payments are reviewed annually in March. The system aims to ease the burden that a lump sum or limited instalment payment program can cause.

To take advantage of this Smarter Way to Pay, or for more details please contact the Shire Rates Department on 9257 9999.

Prizes

Ratepayers who pay their rates in full by the 10th August, 2015 are entered in an incentive prize draw with a total value in excess of $10,000.  Winners are determined by random selection and a range of prizes are offered, including donations by local businesses and the Shire.
