Cambridge Reserve

Cambridge Reserve - Concept Picture

The City undertook a community engagement process during February 2018 which sought feedback from the community on how they would like to see Cambridge Reserve improved.

The community engagement process included information stalls being set up at the Forrestfield Shopping Centre, a site workshop undertaken at Cambridge Reserve where participants took part in ideas mapping and an online survey.
The most common ideas for implementation generated from the community engagement included:

  • Walking trails and improved pathways
  • Pet friendly park
  • Basketball half court
  • Improved lighting
  • Open space lawns
  • Shade and seating
  • Soccer mini pitch

The City engaged Urbis to prepare a plan which reflected the desires of the community. The Master Plan was presented to Council on 5 June 2018 and incorporates the community’s feedback. The key elements of the plan include:

  • Activity hub / Playground
  • Fenced bushland
  • Board-walk / Wetland
  • Open managed parkland
  • Fenced dog park
  • Pedestrian path network
  • Bush revegetation
  • Managed bushland
  • Residential development
  • Over 55’s residential development
  • Aged care group housing site

The City undertook a public advertising period over July-August 2018 which sought community feedback on the draft Cambridge Reserve plan. The engagement process included pop-up information stalls, surveys and workshops.
