Shire of Kalamunda - Sports & Recreation

The Shire of Kalamunda has shown a commitment to sport and recreation and acknowledges the positive benefits that flow from leading active lifestyles.

A range of sporting activities can be undertaken in the Shire ranging from walking, cycling and football to group fitness and weights training. There is something for everyone to enjoy.

The Shire provides a number of public open spaces and sporting reserves for the use of the local community and sporting clubs including the iconic Stirk Park, Hartfield Park Reserve and the spectacular Lesmurdie Falls.

Indoor Recreation is also catered for with Hartfield Park and High Wycombe Recreation Centres providing group fitness, weights training, netball, basketball, soccer and other sports.  Ray Owen Sports Centre provides another venue for netball and basketball within the Shire.

Sporting clubs are an important part of the community and the Shire provides support in terms of facilities, funding and administration.  Adequate funding is an important part of any sporting club and as such a page has been dedicated to exploring funding opportunities for sporting clubs.
