Shire of Kalamunda - Libraries Membership

How do I join the library?

Membership is free; all we need is proof of your identity and current address (eg Driver’s License, Pension Card etc).

If you are under 18 years of age, a parent or guardian will need to sign the register accepting responsibility for your membership and your use of library resources.

 

What can I borrow?

Adults and children may borrow up to ten items at one time.

If you can’t find an item or information you want, please ask for assistance, our staff are happy to help you.

 

The Collection

The library aims to meet your needs by providing:

A range of books and other materials for relaxation and information. 

These include:

  • Spoken word cassettes and compact discs
  • Videos & DVD’s
  • Large print books
  • Reference materials such as encyclopaedias, 
  • A Local studies collection – at Kalamunda Library covers life in the Shire from settlement to the present day, including photographs.
  • Magazines
  • Jigsaws
  • Computer discs
  • Music CD’s
  • English as a second language (ESL) materials are available at High Wycombe Library.
  • Australian Bureau of Statistics Information online at all libraries.
  • Comics Materials in other languages eg Polish, Italian, Vietnamese, German.
  • Items can be ordered in most languages.

New Stock:

New items are added to our libraries every week.  Lists of these items are available on our computer catalogues under the search category New items.
