The Shire of Kalamunda is currently inviting local schools, community groups and artists to participate in the 2014 Banners In The Terrace Competition.

CEO Rhonda Hardy said, “The Shire is offering a prize of $175 to the winning designer and $70 each to two runners-up whose designs best reflect the theme, “Illuminate: Transparency, Trust & Transformation”.

Banners In The Terrace is one of the State’s largest community arts projects, featuring banners submitted by local governments from all over Western Australia.

The Shire will arrange for the design of the local winner to be digitally printed and exhibited along St George’s and Adelaide Terraces in the City of Perth during August 2014 to coincide with the annual WA Local Government Convention.

The local winner will then be in the running to win the Statewide 2014 Banners in the Terrace Competition.

For further information and to obtain a registration pack please contact the Shire of Kalamunda on 9257 9841 or via email

Design entries must be received at the Shire of Kalamunda by 4.00pm Thursday 27 March 2014.
