The Shire of Kalamunda is currently inviting Local schools, community groups and artists to participate in the 2013 Banners in the Terrace Competition.
A/CEO Rhonda Hardy said, “The Shire is offering a prize of $175 to the local winning design and $70 each to two runners-up, whose designs best reflect the theme ‘Future Focus’ or depicting something relevant to the Shire in general.”
“Participants may also be inspired by this year’s 25th Anniversary of the Shire’s large Stained Glass Window at the Kalamunda Library.”
Banners in the Terrace is one of the state’s largest community arts projects, featuring banners submitted by Councils from all over Western Australia.
The Shire will arrange for the local winning design to be digitally printed and exhibited along St George’s and Adelaide Terraces in the City of Perth during August 2013 to coincide with the annual WA Local Government Convention.
The local finalist will then be in the running to win the Statewide 2013 Banners in the Terrace Competition.
