Hot on the heels of last year’s success, the City of Kalamunda once again comes alive with creativity with Young Creatives Kalamunda throughout September and October 2017.
An initiative by the City, Young Creatives Kalamunda is designed to give young people the opportunity to get creative within their community. The program offers an exciting range of events and activities to help nurture and inspire young people’s creativity from art exhibitions to barista workshops to stand up comedy!
The program kicks off at the opening of the youth exhibition Placing The Periphery at the Zig Zag Gallery on Friday 1 September from 6pm to 7pm and everyone is invited!
Mayor President Andrew Waddell said, “The City is proud to host Young Creatives Kalamunda which offers a diverse and fun range of creative activities to delight and ignite young people’s creativity!”
“There’s something for everyone’s creative tastes throughout September and October.”
Events are both indoors and outdoors and include live art mural creation, DIY comic strip drawing, a photography street walk, yoga in the park, a stand up comedy and radio workshop, yarn bombing, board game battles and more.
