The Shire of Kalamunda is inviting community members to find out about career options at the third Kalamunda Careers Expo being held at the Kalamunda Performing Arts Centre on Thursday 30 April 2015 from 10:00am to 3:00pm.

The Shire of Kalamunda is once again hosting the Careers Expo to help students, and the wider community, make an informed decision about their future options.

The 2015 Expo will include a wide variety of exhibitors, representing a range of career opportunities. New exhibitors include The Australian Institute of Fitness, Lab Tech Training, SAE Creative Media Institute and WA Aviation College.

CEO Rhonda Hardy said, “The Shire is proud to offer this free one-day Expo to assist the community to explore the range of career options available.”

“The event again features dynamic motivational speaker Greg Mitchell, who will spark participants’ imagination prior to entering the Expo. Greg is an inspiring speaker who encourages people to be both proactive and practical when it comes to navigating future studies and employment opportunities.”

The Kalamunda Careers Expo will be jam-packed with an array of exhibitors, providing young people with the opportunity to get first-hand information about different career pathways from training centres, universities, employment agencies and a whole host of industries and organisations.

A high level of positive feedback from the 2014 Expo suggests this year’s Expo is set to be another big hit. One Darling Range Sports College teacher commented, “Thanks for a great day. My students and I got a lot of information from your exhibitors and we all really enjoyed the guest speaker.” And a Carmel College student said, “Really enjoyed the Expo. Glad to have something so useful that is so close to our school.”

The Careers Expo will be held in the Agricultural Hall at the Kalamunda Performing Arts Centre located at 48 Canning Road in Kalamunda.

Nine high schools and youth organisations are locked in to attend, bringing over 700 students.
