Last week, Council adopted the 2018/2019 Budget and Long Term Financial Plan.
Early adoption of the Budget will enable the City to commence the $25 million capital works program we have planned for our community.
Significant infrastructure works are planned in the roads and drainage categories as well as improvements at Hartfield Park, Jorgensen Park, Alan Anderson Park, Kalamunda town centre, Stirk Park and Ray Owen Reserve.
Keeping the average rate rise as low as possible whilst delivering essential services and priority improvements has been our key focus.
This year’s budget contains efficiency savings of more than $1 million through a range of energy efficiency initiatives, renegotiation of insurance contracts, reduction in fleet vehicles.
Our Long Term Financial Plan sets out the community’s strategic goals for the future and will ensure priorities will continue to be funded sustainably into the future.
We look forward to delivering these key improvements for our community and would like to thank you for your ongoing support as we work to make our City an even greater place to live.
