To ensure we get enough activity to meet the current recommendations for health people should aim for between 8,000–10,000 steps per day.
To help you count the steps you take you can loan a pedometer, which conveniently attaches to the waist of your pants or skirt. Pedometers and log books are available for loan from all four Shire libraries in Kalamunda, High Wycombe, Forrestfield and Lesmurdie for 3-week periods, with the option to renew if required.
