Difficulties with your Effluent Disposal System
Enquiries regarding the location of your effluent disposal system can directed to the Shire’s Health Service on 9257 9999. The Shire keeps plans of effluent disposal systems for most properties. As the property owner or with the authorisation of the property owner you may view these plans or have a copy printed for you at a cost of $5.50 per page.
If you are experiencing problems with your effluent disposal system it is recommended you contact a plumber. You may need to get the septic tanks emptied by a liquid waste contractor; these can be found by searching for Septic Tank Cleaning Services at www.yellowpages.com.au.
If your effluent disposal system continues to operate inadequately you may need to rejuvenate or extend your existing effluent disposal system. For further information please contact an Environmental Health Officer on 9257 9999.
