Friends and Community Groups

The Shire of Kalamunda prides itself on establishing good working relationships with community members and volunteer groups in order to recognise the good work that they do and to establish an avenue for seeking community opinion.

There are two types of environmental groups supported by the Shire, the individual Friends Groups who assist the Shire in the maintenance of Shire reserves and the community based umbrella group Nature Reserves Preservation Group (NRPG); and the Council endorsed Community Environmental Advisory Committee (CEAC) which aims to provide community opinion on environmental issues to Council, as well as working on other relevant environmental projects.
