Community Environmental Advisory Committee

The Shire has set up the Community Environmental Advisory Committee (CEAC) to:

  • Advise Council on community opinion and attitude on environmental issues within the Shire;
  • Work with the community to encourage an environmental ethic;
  • Consider and provide recommendations to Council on any matter referred to it by Council;
  • Subject to Council direction conduct functions and activities involving the community to create environmental awareness, canvas issues and/or gain community opinion or information it deems necessary.

CEAC consists of up to 12 members taken from a cross-sectional representation of interests and localities and includes a Councillor with administrative support provided by Council’s Planning and Development Service.

CEAC Meetings usually occur on the second Thursday of each month (excluding January) in the Kalamunda Library Meeting Room with all meetings being open to the public.
