Want to give back to you community? Volunteer Today.

Volunteering is a fantastic way to learn new skills and to give back to our vibrant community. The Shire of Kalamunda requires volunteers for a range of services within the Shire. Volunteer Positions that currently need to be filled include kitchen staff at the Jack Healy Centre to assist in the provision of light inexpensive meals for visitors and the Adult  Day Centre is  seeking volunteers to assist the co-ordinator and staff to meet the social needs of its clients.

Executive Manager of Community Services Kevin O’Connor said, “Volunteers help to build healthy and successful communities and increasingly today, the community relies on the valuable services of volunteers to enhance service delivery.

Library Services also have opportunities for community members to be part of our important Books on Wheels service and other library based activities.  Alternatively Volunteers can contribute to the community by becoming a Community Bus Driver. Volunteer drivers need to hold a current "MR" class licence. The role involves  transportation of local groups and charitable organisations involving senior citizens on pre-arranged outings.

These are only some of the volunteer positions that are currently available, so whether you are interested in the environment and outdoors, aged and community care, events, driving or food there is a volunteer opportunity to suit you! For a full list of opportunities available please contact the Shire of Kalamunda on 9257 9958.
