The Department of Environment and Conservation’s (DEC’s) Nearer to Nature team are providing the community with a great way to get outdoors and enjoy the amazing beauty that comes with the spring time.

Nearer to Nature activities are designed to provide unique, fun, hands-on experiences that will get everyone exploring the nature of Perth.

Activities range from cute and cuddly animal encounters to adventurous bush survival sessions, and from over night camping experiences to opportunities to explore the wonderful and enchanted world of fairies.  This year we are even offering a free seminar to help you prepare for the upcoming bushfire season!

Some of our activities are designed just for kids, others are just for grown ups and we even have activities that bring everyone together to share an amazing experience.

If you have always wanted to cycle the Munda Biddi trail then our ‘Bush, Bikes, Babies n’ Brunch’ activity will combine that experience with a healthy brunch and an amazing animal encounter – this one is great for the whole family!Camping Out

These are just a sample of the activities we can provide and we operate from locations all over the Perth metropolitan area.  We can even tailor activities to suit individual needs, so if you have a group or social club that is looking for a unique experience then call us.

Activities are age relevant with something to suit most ages.  The program runs from Saturday 26 September through until Sunday 11 October and spaces are limited, so book now to avoid disappointment.  Activities begin at $12.00pp.  For more information visit www.dec.wa.gov.au/n2n or call (08)9295 2244.  Brochures are available at all local libraries or click here for the full Nearer To Nature full brochure.
