National Seniors Week
National Seniors Week is designed to commend the valuable contribution which the over 55’s offer to our community. The 2007 Shire of Kalamunda Seniors Week programme is filled with low cost events and activities to bring together people of diverse interests and ages.
Primarily five of the six events are for Shire of Kalamunda Seniors only starting with the Variety Concert on Sunday 28 October featuring the antics and musical comedy of the Tivoli Theatre held at the Performing Arts Centre on Canning Road in Kalamunda from 1:00pm -4:00pm.
On Monday 29 October join a group for an adventure filled movie morning at Midland Ace Cinemas. Tuesday 30 October finds us in Fremantle for Lunch by the water at Ciccerello’s and Wednesday 31 an intriguing location is offered for the Mystery Lunch.
Although events have been planned with Shire of Kalamunda Seniors in mind, our Expo held at Hartfield Park Recreation Centre, Forrestfield on Thursday 1 November welcomes visitors of all ages to join in the wide range of activities, entertainment and stalls between 10:00am and 3:00pm. To complete the week long celebrations, we urge all Seniors to dig out the dress up box and join in the Fancy Dress Dance at High Wycombe Recreation Centre from 1:00pm to 4:00pm. To find out more about this great week of friendship and fun, please contact 9257 9999.
