Land Planning Vision Workshops
The Shire of Kalamunda held a land planning vision workshop with stakeholders of the East Ward on the 12 December 2007, at the Pickering Brook Sports Club at 7pm. A workshop was also held for the Kalamunda Town Centre on Wednesday the 28 of November 2007 at the Kalamunda Agricultural Hall on Canning Road, Kalamunda.
Land planning vision workshops are being held in each Ward of the Shire to address local matters. The community workshops will focus on metropolitan population forecasts and long term land use planning for the Shire of Kalamunda. The workshops aim to obtain community inputs on their views and visions for the future.
Ward Vision Workshops to be held in the coming future include:
- South Ward, 27 February 2008, at the Lesmurdie Hall, Gladys road at 7pm.
- South West Ward, 26 March 2008, at the Forrestfield Bowling Club at 7pm.
- North West Ward, 30 April 2008, at the High Wycombe Recreation Centre at 7pm.
- North Ward, 28 May 2008, at the Agricultural Hall at 7pm.
Shire of Kalamunda Executive Manager of Planning and Development Services, Rory O’Brien said, “The feedback from the workshops will be used as the building blocks for future land use planning to the year 2030. It is a fantastic opportunity for residents to provide the Shire of Kalamunda with their opinions and visions for the future of your region and community.”
