Free Plants for Shire of Kalamunda Residents.

On Saturday the 7th of June and Sunday the 8th of June the Shire of Kalamunda will be holding the annual Plants for Residents Program, offering free native plants to residents in the Shire. The program aims to promote the revegetation of residential and rural properties with local endemic trees, shrubs and groundcovers.

It is a fantastic opportunity for you to dress up your garden, with plants that are not only extremely waterwise, but will also encourage native birds and other wildlife  to the area.

Residents will be allocated native plants according to property size; with between ten and sixty  plants available dependant on their lots.

• Up to 2000m2 - 10 plants

• 2000m2 to 6000m2 - 20 plants

• 6000m2 to 10,000m2 - 30 plants

• Greater than 10,000m2 (1 ha) - from 30 plants to a maximum of 60 plants

Plants will be allocated on a first come first served basis from the ‘Men of the Trees’ Nursery located on the corner of Amherst Rd and Stirling Cres, Hazelmere (approach from Great Eastern Hwy) between 9am to 3pm each day

In order to recieve your free plants you need to bring photo ID (such as a drivers license or passport), your rates notice – for verification of address and a box or similar container to carry your plants in.
