Local Biodiversity Strategy
Call for Public Comment
The Council welcomes public comment on the Draft Local Biodiversity Strategy.
The Strategy represents Councils proposed position on protection and management of the remaining Local Natural Areas in the Shire. Options for improving the protection of these natural areas are examined and actions for implementation are presented.
It is important that residents, land owners and developers comment on the proposals detailed in the Draft Local Biodiversity Strategy so that issues from all sectors are taken into account before the Strategy is finalised.
Public comments are invited in relation to any of the proposals in the report. Copies of the report can be viewed at any public library, the Shire Administration office and online.
