Community Environmental Advisory Committee
New Members Invited
The Shire of Kalamunda has a Community Environmental Advisory Committee (CEAC) which comprises 12 members taken from a cross section of interests and localities and includes a Councillor and administrative support provided by Council’s Planning and Development Service branch.
There are currently vacant positions on the committee and nominations are invited.
CEAC has the following terms of reference:
- Advises Council on community opinion and attitudes on environmental issues within the Shire;
- Works with the community to encourage an environmental ethic;
- Considers and provides recommendations to Council on matters referred to it by Council;
- Conducts functions and activities involving the community to create environmental awareness, canvas issues and gain community opinions.
CEAC meetings are held on the second Thursday of every second month at 6.00pm (excluding January) in the Kalamunda Library Meeting Room. All meetings are open to the public.
