At the February 2009 OCM Council resolved to amend clause 66 of the Shire of Kalamunda Health Local Law 2001by adding an new sub clause prohibiting the keeping of a rooster, peafowl, goose or turkey on a lot of land zoned residential, unless otherwise approved by the Local Government, and in accordance with any conditions imposed by the Local Government.
As part of the process to amend the local law the public are invited to provide comment on the proposal within a 6 week period from when advertised in the papers. Following the public comment period a report will be prepared for Council to consider and make a final decision on the amendment.
The public comment period closes on 30 April 2009
