End-to-End: Bibbulmun Walk 2008 – the journey of a decade starting in Albany Wednesday 16 July.
Saturday 13 September 2008 marks the 10th Anniversary of the opening of the Perth-to-Albany Track, now well-known as the Bibbulmun Track. This milestone will be commemorated by completing the 1,000 kilometers End-to-End: Bibbulmun Walk 2008 – the journey of a decade. People from all over Australia are encouraged to join in the celebrations by walking a section on the historic End-to-End walk or joining in one of the community celebrations along the way. Starting in Albany on Wednesday 16 July, a small group of walkers accompanied by guides will spend the next eight weeks walking the Track to Kalamunda and arriving to a warm welcome on Saturday 13 September.
