Pre-registration for the World's Largest Astronomy Lesson has now closed. All new registrations will be taken at the gate on Saturday 28 February.
Gates will open for registration at 6:30pm and close at 8:00pm to ensure an accurate count.
As per Guinness guidelines an official aerial photograph of all participants will be taken at 8:15pm.
The official lesson will commence at 8:30pm.
*Please note, to be part of the official count, Guinness World Record guidelines state:
- Each person must bring their own appropriate equipment for the lesson such as portable telescopes or binoculars.
- To be counted all participants must remain throughout the 30 minute lesson and actively participate.
*Children are welcome, however, if they wish to be part of the official count they must be able to actively participate in the lesson and use their own equipment unassisted.
Certificate of Participation
Should the attempt be successfully approved by Guinness World Records, the code on the flyer can be used to purchase a certificate celebrating the record. Please note, verification of the claim can take up to 12 weeks
