Public Comment

All items for which the Shire is seeking public comment are made available in a number of ways. These include from our Administration offices, Libraries and our website. When an item is marked for Public Comment it is published in our local papers and also in this announcements section of the website. This allows people time to view the item and submit their comments.

Written comments should be addressed to the Chief Executive Officer, Shire of Kalamunda, PO Box 42, Kalamunda WA 6926 or emailed to kala.shire@kalamunda.wa.gov.au.

Notice is hereby given that Burgess Design Group has prepared an Amendment to Maida Vale Cell 6 Local Structure Plan (‘LSP’). The Structure Plan was originally approved by the Western Australian Planning Commission (‘WAPC’) on 1 November 1994. The latest amendment to the Structure Plan was approved by the WAPC on 6 February 2015.

The Shire of Kalamunda is seeking comment on proposed Local Planning Scheme No. 3 – Amendment 83. The proposed amendment brings the Shire’s Local Planning Scheme into alignment with the requirements of the Planning and Development (Local Planning Schemes) Regulations 2015. The amendment removes obsolete provisions, rewords provisions to standard format, and reformats the entirety of the Local Planning Scheme to match the new Model Scheme Text.

The Western Australian Planning Commission (WAPC) intends to amend the Metropolitan Region Scheme (MRS) for land in the local government areas of Bassendean, Canning, Cockburn, Cottesloe, Fremantle, Gosnells, Joondalup, Kalamunda, Melville, Nedlands, Rockingham, Stirling, Swan, Victoria Park, Vincent and Wanneroo and is seeking public comment.
